"Here is Edward Bear coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump on the back of his head behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming down stairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment to think of it."

transformational change in their lives. It is a unique partnership customized to move you forward in alignment with your specific values, goals and the vision you hold for your family.
Coaching is a unique and effective process because it draws on you as the expert of yourself and your children. I am convinced that mothers have access to information that is simply not available to anybody else, and that to ignore that is to cut off an enormous resource. By drawing on what you know to be true, and aligning with the values, goals and the vision you hold for yourself and your family, you are free to redefine your lifestyle to fit the authentic needs of you and your family.
What types of parenting issues are right for coaching?
Although there are many “general” areas where mom’s struggle, the issues they present are as unique as the individuals and the children involved. The common thread among the mothers that come to me is that, due to whatever the reason, they are at a place of uncertainty because of something going on with their children or their life circumstance. They are unsure of how to move forward, frustrated, and fearful of taking any action that may negatively impact their child. Yet they seem to know intuitively that there are answers out there – something they have not yet heard - that are specific to their child. Together we find and implement those answers.
How it works:
This is a general outline of how I typically work. However, each coaching relationship is unique to the individuals involved, and can be molded to fit any form that works for the partnership.
I am a short term coach, preferring to partner with my clients for a period of 3-4 months at a time. One of my goals during this time is to empower my clients with the tools and resources they need to move forward beyond our coaching relationship. We begin with an in-depth personal meeting wherein we spend some time really exploring the issues, the goals and the vision of what we will be working toward together. This meeting usually lasts 2 – 2 ½ hours. After that we get to work on clearing away the noise and the clutter, creating clarity and moving toward achieving the goals and visions we have set. This is usually done with ½ hour coaching sessions weekly. Most often these sessions are done over the phone. This brings flexibility and convenience to the process, and my clients report that they feel they get better results by coaching via phone. If there are concerns or reservations over this format, I am happy to discuss this further with you.
In addition to month to month coaching, I offer group coaching and workshops on occasion. Check out those links for more information on those!
